Macau

The façade of the 16th century church of S Paul dominates Macau. The Methodist Church of HK sends missionaries and has slowly built a congregation of 50 in a society built on gambling and tourists that associates Christianity with the colonial power (Portugal) which, unlike H K, was and is deeply unpopular. The small congregation runs a community project for single parents and the elderly, the government was impressed by the work and has just given them lovely large premises and funding to expand the work.
