Congratulations are being given now by government and communist party officials, embassies, Bible societies and churches. There is good Methodist representation - the Methodist President, Rev Yuen, is representing the Hong Kong churches, Christine Elliott is representing Churches Together in Britain and Ireland and Rebecca Assedillo my UMC colleague read the lesson.
